News for Challenge Supporters and Sign Up for Email Updates

Good Morning, Challenge Supporters!

Last night a group of Save Our Challenge advocates welcomed new School Board member David Cogan and Ken Smith and once again presented our views on why the Challenge program is a vital program in our district and part of what makes Northshore competitive in the school "marketplace". We will continue to address the School Board at future meetings and welcome any and all to attend and show your support. We feel we are definitely making an impact; board members once again discussed the Challenge program during their Board Reports and will have a study session on Challenge before the January 12th School Board meeting.

We have not sent many updates to this petition list so as not to inundate your inboxes, but we know many of you would like to keep up to date on the latest developments in the quest to help shape the new Middle Schools into something we can all be proud of and will help all children learn to their full potential. So, please sign up for updates by entering your email in the "Follow by Email" box on the right. You will only receive an email when a new post is added to the website. We feel this is the best way for everyone to receive the most up to date relevant information.

Thank you again for your support and we look forward to seeing you at an upcoming school board meeting!

Eastside Education Network Weighs in on the Challenge Program

Click on over to the Eastside Education Network's recently published article about Challenge:  Northshore Should Keep its Challenge Program

"The current Challenge Program meets the requirements of the new Middle School mission statement. With the option of self-selecting into Challenge classes, students are empowered to challenge themselves in preparation for high school and beyond. This makes the Challenge Program a model of developmental responsiveness and equity."
